We’re excited to launch Drone Dash 0.3.0 to early access! This build represents a major milestone packed with new features, quality-of-life improvements, bug fixes, and tons of new content to explore. Here’s a sneak peek at some of what’s new:
🌟 Major Updates:
- New Levels GaloreOverhauled the first 6 levels with vibrant color themes and added 13+ new levels to the learn to fly campaign!
- Demo ModeAdded demo exports, config tweaks, and support.
New Tutorials: Tutorials now include instructions on charge pads, fire rainers, and gate mechanics.
🎨 Visual & Audio Enhancements:
Revamped Visual Theme: Overhauled the game’s visual theme to be cleaner and more refined.
- Improved Editor UIEnhanced positioning, button layouts, and new control_node picker functionality.
- Audio ImprovementsAdded new music tracks, sound effects, and fixed background music transitions.
🛠️ Quality of Life Improvements:
- Preset ManagerNew preset editor and manager to customize your experience.
Editor Enhancements: Editor objects can now be locked, recently used colors persist, and tab order is saved between sessions.
- Fixes GaloreResolved crashes, path follower bugs, drone effects, and editor glitches for smoother gameplay.
⚡ Gameplay Features:
- Interactive ElementsIntroduced spikes, shocker, charge-pad single-use support, and landing pad improvements.
- Paint ToolA new paint system to customize in-game objects.
Drag-and-Drop Functionality: Easily drag items from the game objects panel to the level tree for quick level editing.
🌐 Cloud Sync & Steam Workshop:
- Cloud SyncUpdated paths for cloud sync and improved appdata handling.
NOTE: This change caused us to reset your savegame data.
- Workshop IntegrationAdded support for sharing and exploring custom content.
