Hand-painted art

Art is one of key aspects of Dreams. It draws initial attention, supports a calm atmosphere, and communicates meaning for the game's theme. It is all hand-painted in watercolor, which creates quite a unique look for a digital product.

I was very fortunate to meet Natali Arsenova through a friend's recommendation. She created all the hand-painted artwork for the game over the course of more than a year.

Images are watercolored on paper, then scanned for a high-resolution digital copies.

Then, each digital copy is manually processed in GIMP to create a dream-like feeling.
