changedEventually the game evolved to be a role playing game with turn based combat attached to it. There are lots of content made for the game. It was released for both mobile and PC platform as paid/premium game. At that time, I did have a plan to release the game on Steam but I didn't pursue it due to the mobile-centric UI of the game. Player can navigate the game world using on-screen direction pads and also with keyboard on both mobile and PC version.

As right now, there were 4 major updates throughout 2024 and 2025 that added lots of content to the game. For the first time Path A playthrough, it will take around 10 to 12 hours to get to the end content. Most of content for Path A playthrough have been completed. All it takes is to finish final conflict content at the undergound lab. There's also a separate Path B playthrough that will take around 2 hours to the end content. Hi, I'm Edy Kajang, the developer for Dream City Fugitive. I've been working on this game for the past several years. Currently the game is available as early access version on mobile and PC platform. There's a plan to release the game on Steam sometime next year (2026) once most content for the game have been completed.

Dream City Fugitive is a technically a reboot game. There's a quite bit history of the game which can be traced all the way back to 2017 when I'm working on Dream City Living game. It's a fork to Dream City Life, a text-based life simulation game that takes place in a fictional Dream City. With Dream City Living, player was able to explore the city as a person in top down view like what normally the view used in typical RPG Maker games.

Eventually the game evolved to be a role playing game with turn based combat attached to it.

Personally I kind of regret I made the decision retrospectively due to lost opportunity to make some decent money. People did buy the game mostly on mobile platform but it was well below my expectation (my expectation was quite low at that time to be honest). So that made me realize if I want to target some decent return, mobile was not the way to go. I have to make game that doesn't look like mobile game. That provide catalyst for me to take on a special project to reboot the game at late 2020.

It took more than 3 years before the early access version was ready for public:

  1. Overhauling the game world and implement the changes to the game. This took lots of time due to multiple iterations.

  2. Improve the game rendering to take advantage of the newly overhauled game world.

  3. Expand main characters from 2 person to 6 person with new rendered art.

  4. Took point and click system from old game (Trust Anthology Alliance) and adapt it to the reboot game.

  5. Streamline most of gameplay mechanics and expand total skills from 5 to 20.

  6. Work on a new storyline about fugitive character.

The first early access version was available around mid 2024 to player who had purchased the old game on mobile and PC platform. The early access version basically replaced the old game version. As right now, there were 4 major updates throughout 2024 and 2025 that added lots of content to the game. All it takes is to finish final conflict content at the undergound lab. There's also a separate Path B playthrough that will take around 2 hours to the end content. We will prioritize finishing Path A content before we work on more content for Path B playthrough.

So that's folk I hope this will address some curiosity that you have about the game.
