Dragons Die changes
THE LONG WATCH BEGINS.
Marblewick: Dragons Die is available now on Steam for $4.99.
Dragons Die is a small, strange strategy game about raising a wing of named dragons and sending them into a reach that charges for every mile.
Every dragon begins as a shell. Species, class, personality, bonds, and the instincts they develop make each one a particular life rather than a replaceable unit. Pick the wing. Plot the route. Spend Breath to travel, fight, and make it home.
The same Breath that carries your dragons outward must still be there for the return.
WHAT WAITS IN THE REACH
Hatch a wing from nothing. Name new dragons, learn who they become, and fill the empty chairs at the Long Table.
Plot every flight. Choose a bearing or mark a route, budget Breath for the whole journey, and decide when the hunt has cost enough.
Fight in real time. Change formation, fire class-specific wing calls, break guard lines, take keys, and claim holds.
Cross four escalating regions. A full Lone Flight asks for sixteen holds, four regional boss fights, and one final grand boss.
Bring the story home. Debriefs, bonds, growth rites, songs, the Hall, and the Clutch Book keep each campaign specific.
Live with the losses. Captains can die. Wings can fail. The Long Table and Archive remember their names.
BUILT FOR THE LONG TABLE
The release includes the full First Clutch teaching campaign, the canonical Lone Flight, unlockable veteran and endgame roads, three save slots, Steam achievements, and full Windows and macOS builds.
I wanted this to be the best $4.99 game I could make: compact enough to understand in one sitting, but sturdy enough to keep producing stories about dragons you did not expect to care about.
Thank you to everyone who played the rough versions, found the dead ends, lost captains, and kept asking the game to become itself.
The reach is open. The kettle is on. Raise the wing.
