Its shell, smooth yet marked with strange, vein-like patterns, glistened faintly in the dim light. A faint warmth radiated from within, a quiet heartbeat in the stillness of the night.
The world held its breath. Was this egg truly forgotten, or had it been placed here for a reason? And if so… what manner of creature lay sleeping inside, waiting for the moment to awaken?
