Hi everyone,

Since Dragon Ruins started as a Dungeon Crawler Jam 2024 game and the Steam version came together very quickly, I'd like to answer a few common questions.

How long is it?

It's about 2-3 hours long. You can squeeze more playtime out of it by trying a different party or trying the NG+ mode, which gives monsters a small stat boost and increases their numbers.

How much will it cost?

The base price is $4.99.

What are the changes from the jam version?

Here's a short list:

  • Redesigned the dungeon;

  • Added two optional bosses;

  • Added new monster types;

  • Added party creation;

  • Added 4 new character classes;

  • Added magic circles that teleport you back to town;

  • Added a shop where you can purchase consumables, such as Medicine and Teleporter Scrolls;

  • Added fast travel back to town in exchange for half of your gold;

  • Added scrollable fullscreen automap;

  • Added new music;

  • Added intro and ending sequences;

  • Added strafing for fellow crab-walking enjoyers;

  • Added a saving system;

  • Improved status screen;

  • Improved NG+ mode;

  • Bugfixes and improved stability.

Are there any localization plans?

It depends on the sales of the base game, as well as regional wishlists. If there's enough interest, I'll consider it.

What's the source of inspiration behind it?

The project was inspired by David Allen's Mordor: Depths of Dejenol. This project is a streamlined spiritual successor to measure player interest in this kind of game.

Thank you for your interest in my little project.

See you at the launch!
