GAMEPLAY CHANGES

  • Major balance adjustments to Enemy placements, bullet patterns on Normal and Easy Difficulty to make it more manageable for new comers of the genre

  • On Easy Difficulty players will be able to start at the last checkpoint after receiving a Game Over

  • Players will be able to start at the Stage Boss in Shmup levels if they reached the Stage Boss before receiving a Game Over

  • Added Various arrow signs to signify the path forward

  • Added Tutorial Monkeys on Normal and Easy Difficulty in All Stages (can be turned off in Config)

BUG FIXES

  • Fixed bug with the Save Data in which the Player's selected difficulty is not recorded, causing the Difficulty to be defaulted as Normal after closing the game and Load the game on next boot up (* After the patch, The Save Data will be defaulted as Easy difficulty on the next save loading, if you wanted to revert the difficulty back to Normal, please load your progress in the current patch, close the game, then go to AppData/Local/Sidescroller/SaveDataDoS.sav and modify the fifth value in the file to 1

  • Fixed the collision for a few of the pitfall deaths not covering the entire pitfall

MISC CHANGES

  • Added missing Sound Effects for various enemies/moves/objects

  • Improve the readability for the Stage Intro lore jumble

  • Updated the Ending splash art and Opening graphics

KNOWN ISSUES

  • Specific controller models would cause the game to crash upon visiting the controller mapping menu, I am still trying to find a potential fix to the issue, but at the current state Dualshock and Xbox Controllers seems to be working fine

If you encounter any bugs or issues feel free to contact/ leave a comment on the forum and I will try to fix the issues as soon as possible. Thank you all again for supporting the game and hopefully with this patch the game would be a smoother experience to yall!
