Thank You everyone for playing! I hope you have enjoyed the game so far. I feel really happy to have finally released my first indie game and hearing all your feedback!
There were several important items I wanted to update as quickly as possible and some of you have also found a couple of bugs. I greatly appreciate your bug reports, please keep them coming, so I can find them, fix them and make the game better for you all!
With that, here's the patch notes for Dragon Hop 1.0.1:
rehauled the UI, changed fonts, cleared up menus, sliders, everything should look much better now
made difficulty selection more clear (and more cheeky)
made checkpoints on Exploration mode actually cost 1 feather for unlocking them, NO MORE FREEBIES!
added the ability to convert your Hardcore save file to Exploration mode at safe points
fixed swimming and added a dive prompt to the UI, also added bubble sounds for underwater swimming
fixed many instances where the dragon could fall through the map
added more clear tutorials for unlocking and using checkpoints
opening the pause menu now properly hides overlay UI and tutorials
fixed an issue where your little dragon companion would rudely abandon you when reloading the game
fixed several issues while navigating menus with a controller
fixed the hidden volcano going dormant for 10000 years after a single eruption
reworked a few spots to make jumping more interesting (it's not that harder, you can do it)
fixed colliders in certain zones
added persistence for unlockable shortcuts (cube, orbs, portal)
Hope I didn't miss anything. There were still some suggestions that didn't make it for this one, but I'll get back to working, so they can arrive soon. Thanks you all so much for playing! Happy Hopping! 🐲
