Steam post image COMBAT & MOVEMENT UPDATE AVAILABLE NOW
On top of a TON of fixes, a new DownSouth COMBAT & MOVEMENT update has just released on Steam for all to play. This update includes entirely new attacks, updated/faster momentum-based movement, meatier punches, BRUTAL combos and a whole host of other quality of life features. By popular demand, you can also play solely with keyboard now. (via Z,X,C and the arrow keys... Although glyphs for this play-style are not yet set up.)

NOTE: YOU MUST START A NEW GAME rather than using an existing save file!!!
Updated/Punchier combat
Hitting enemies, objects, crates, etc. gives the player additional momentum that launches them forward (great for combos and chaining attacks)
New "Hit Stun" effect and punchier combat sounds to add more 'oomph' to ALL combat
Using the 'breakdance' attack (attack + crouch) now launches enemies into the air.
New attack animations for when South is walking and attacking.
NEW UPPERCUT ABILITY (functions as both a double jump and attack. Can be done on the ground or while airborne)
Faster Run Startup. South now takes far less time to get up to his max speed.
Attacking now puts South directly into his run state
Removed crouch-spam speed exploit
Checkpoints can no longer be activated by being punched (less annoying)
Enemies can now be crushed by Tomato and Button Doors (For those not aware, you can also use enemies and normal crates to hold buttons down)
Level clarity fixes (More to come in future patches)
Added some more enemies where applicable + edited puzzles
visibility/visual tweaks to make areas more easy to digest
Changed the color of Terminals
Fixed certain layering issues
New control scheme for Keyboard only players (proper glyphs not yet available, but you can play with Z,X,C + the arrow keys.)
Various bug fixes
You can no longer select options while exiting the pause menu
DownSouth should now always appear in your task bar
Fixed crashes with fish bone enemies (MawSkel)
Fixed f11 to allow for proper fullscreen (Potentially proper full screen for people with monitors larger than 1920x1080, but let us know)
Player data is saved once brass is collected
Version switching fixes (internal... for save file conversion between versions)
You can no longer pause while dead (camera bug solved)
fixed issue with Schroeder slipping sound playing into other rooms
various other sound/general bug fixes
Gave Brassfist more health to compensate for the updated combat.
