changedI am excited to say that Double Envelopment is back in development and I have made a lot of improvements on the gameplay in it!
changedNotably, the biggest improvements were:
addedCreation of a new offensive manager that lists offensives you have created (up to 8), along with an 'Assign To Offensive' mechanic that lets you select any ground unit and order them to the selected offensive.
addedReworking of how offensives store nodes. Drawing arrows on the map creates a 'node' position at the last arrow of that draw. You can have many of these nodes on one offensive, and these nodes allow new units to join an offensive at that node and continue from it, rather than having to be inside a radius near the offensive start like how they used to work.
addedInstead of solely having to purchase units with the in-game money, ally forward bases can now produce units of your choosing, and will automatically assign a chosen offensive to that unit. This is why the new node system for offensives is important, since you can use these nodes as command hubs to produce and resupply units.
changedI will be updating the Early Access release date of the game when it once again reaches a decent playable state. I may have it to where I want it by September, possibly sooner. Thank you for reading this, and I will see you on the battlefield!

Notably, the biggest improvements were:

-Creation of a new offensive manager that lists offensives you have created (up to 8), along with an 'Assign To Offensive' mechanic that lets you select any ground unit and order them to the selected offensive.

-Reworking of how offensives store nodes. Drawing arrows on the map creates a 'node' position at the last arrow of that draw. You can have many of these nodes on one offensive, and these nodes allow new units to join an offensive at that node and continue from it, rather than having to be inside a radius near the offensive start like how they used to work.

-Instead of solely having to purchase units with the in-game money, ally forward bases can now produce units of your choosing, and will automatically assign a chosen offensive to that unit. This is why the new node system for offensives is important, since you can use these nodes as command hubs to produce and resupply units.

-Enemy forward bases take longer to produce more powerful units, as this was an overwhelming problem during playtesting.

I will be updating the Early Access release date of the game when it once again reaches a decent playable state. I may have it to where I want it by September, possibly sooner. Thank you for reading this, and I will see you on the battlefield!
