G'mornin friends, enemies, and Boot Wizards alike!

A couple very big nuggets for you today. First, the "bad news" (though we don't really see it that way):

We've made the tough call to push back the release date to an indefinite date in August. There's been so much amazing feedback, both positive and negative, that's given us much deeper insight into what works and what doesn't in Dominocalypse, and we want to take the fullest possible advantage of all of that input. With only a few weeks out from the originally planned release date, it wouldn't have been possible to give it the refinement we know it needs.

We'll let you know immediately once we have a concrete date in mind, but for now just know that we're doing all we can to make this thing as special as we know it can be!

Now the good news: A new demo build is available now! There are too many updates to list, but highlights include:

  • Tons of bug fixes

  • New artifacts (some locked out of the demo, some not!)

  • Excavator Loadout overhauled with new unique Tile Mod "Drill+"

  • Pip Cores have been completely reworked; rather than having a cost per upgrade, each Pip Core can be invested freely in any Tile Number with no limit (well, the limit is technically 100, but good luck hitting that... he said, realizing fully that someone will find a way)

  • Pip Cores can be recycled, allowing players to respec to better fit their build (the cost to recycle increases every time it's used)

  • Tons of balance changes

  • Tons of "juice" changes (i.e. the secret sauce that makes the game feel extra fun)

All of that comes together to make it feel like a pretty different game all-around (in a very good way), so if you haven't played the demo for a while I strongly encourage giving it another shot, and if you haven't played it yet now is absolutely the best time to do so!

Please enjoy, and keep it coming with the feedback!

-Trevor and the team
