What changed

0 fixes4 additions0 changes0 removals
  • Gameplay
addedA small scheduling note from the cauldron. The main reason is the Werewolf Hat itself. It doesn’t just add a new option, it changes how you think about a run . Dice timing, decision making, and risk all start to work differently.
addedA small scheduling note from the cauldron. It’s less “one more hat” and more a unique, sideways version of DOG WITCH. Familiar pieces, new ways to play them. A bit like turning the board into 4D chess.
addedA small scheduling note from the cauldron.Alongside this, we’re also working on a new end of run stat screen, so you can finally see what actually happened during your run and how your choices played out over time. That’s still being tuned and we want it to feel clear and useful when it lands. Check it out! It's a WIP, so not the final version by far, but this what we're working on right now!
addedA small scheduling note from the cauldron. If you really can’t wait, much of the new content is already available on the spookybugtesting branch on Steam. You can opt in, try things early, and we’re very grateful for any feedback you share that way.

A small scheduling note from the cauldron.

Hi Coven! We wanted to let you all know that we’re moving DOG WITCH Major Content Update #1, including the Werewolf Hat, from December to January.

The main reason is the Werewolf Hat itself. It doesn’t just add a new option, it changes how you think about a run. Dice timing, decision making, and risk all start to work differently.

It’s less “one more hat” and more a unique, sideways version of DOG WITCH. Familiar pieces, new ways to play them. A bit like turning the board into 4D chess.

Because of that, it needs more testing than our usual updates. There are more edge cases, more weird interactions, and more moments where we want to be sure the game explains itself through play, not surprises.

Alongside this, we’re also working on a new end of run stat screen, so you can finally see what actually happened during your run and how your choices played out over time. That’s still being tuned and we want it to feel clear and useful when it lands. Check it out! It's a WIP, so not the final version by far, but this what we're working on right now!

Nothing is changing about what’s included in the update. We just want to give these systems the time they need before we set them loose.

If you really can’t wait, much of the new content is already available on the spookybugtesting branch on Steam. You can opt in, try things early, and we’re very grateful for any feedback you share that way.

Thank you for the patience and for being part of this strange little journey. We’ll have more to show as January gets closer.
