Doctrine: C.U.L.T. changes
Update v0.5.0 is now live
Version 0.5.0 makes the world map a more important part of every campaign. More actions now begin by choosing a location on the globe, so expansion is not only about what you do, but where you decide to do it. At the same time, actions, events, and incidents have been rebalanced to scale with the size of your cult. The campaign also has a clearer destination, with full victory and defeat conditions for the first time. Steam post image
Regional influence matters more
Several actions that previously required a Cult Center can now be launched by selecting a location on the world map. This gives you more freedom to choose where major initiatives begin and makes the globe a more active part of action planning.
More map-targeted actions - several major actions now use the world-map location flow instead of requiring a Cult Center.
Location-first planning - select the target area on the globe before the action begins, then follow its progress directly from the map.
Clearer commitment - action details now show Allocated Leverage, making the cost of a regional move easier to judge before you commit.
Rebalanced regional campaigns - action durations, Leverage costs, success chances, and effects were retuned across the action set.
The goal is to make each chosen location feel like a deliberate part of your expansion rather than a background detail.
Growth that scales with your cult
Fixed Convert rewards no longer dominate the entire campaign. Actions, event decisions, and incidents now calculate Convert changes as a percentage of your current following, so their impact remains meaningful as your influence grows.
Actions now use percentage-based Convert results and can grant a custom amount of Transcendence on success.
Events are selected for early, mid, or late stages of the campaign and for low, medium, or high Unity.
Incidents now use percentage-based Convert changes and grant 1 Transcendence when completed.
Event rotation correctly considers the 20 most recently completed events, allowing older situations to return instead of locking the pool forever.
A complete campaign arc
Your campaign can now reach a full conclusion.
Doctrine victory - bring any doctrine path to 100 points. After winning, you can return to the main menu or keep playing.
Cult collapse - if Converts fall below 100, your cult is defeated.
Unity crisis - reaching zero Unity no longer ends the campaign immediately. You lose half of your Converts, Unity returns to 50%, and the campaign continues.
Each outcome has its own summary window, so the cause and result are clear when the moment arrives.
Presentation, music, and quality of life
Major UI screens now use the Forum typeface, while the Converts, Unity, Leverage, and Transcendence icons have been refreshed.
Top-bar stat tooltips now explain what each core value does and how it changes.
Doctrine-chart tooltips now present the name, current value, and description of each path more clearly.
Gameplay music is now loaded automatically, preventing missing soundtrack tracks after scene configuration changes.
Choose your locations carefully, and see how far your doctrine can spread.
