Get ready to return to the hospital… and hope you make it out alive.
We're excited to release the biggest update yet for the Doctor Viscera demo! Thanks to your feedback, this patch brings major improvements to gameplay, AI behavior, and the overall atmosphere. Here's what's new:
MAJOR CHANGES
Improved Doctor AI
No more unfair eagle vision — detection is now more balanced and fair.
Better sound reaction
The Doctor now reacts more realistically to noises you make. Be quiet, or be hunted.
New item: Throw Bottle
Use this new throwable item to create sound and distract the Doctor in tense situations.
Improved chase system
It’s now easier to disengage and escape a chase — if you’re smart enough.
Voice acting added
The Doctor now speaks — and he definitely has things to say to his test subjects.
New alert animations
The Doctor now shows a more dynamic reaction when spotting you.
Enhanced chase music feedback
The soundtrack now responds better to chase moments.
New jump animations
The Doctor will now throw himself off high ledges in even more dramatic ways.
New Day System
You now have 5 days to escape. Getting caught no longer means instant game over. (But be warned — things get worse over time.)
GENERAL IMPROVEMENTS
Better puzzle guidance
More intuitive clues without giving too much away.
New ambient sounds
The hospital is now even more immersive and tense.
Improved hiding mechanics
The Doctor should no longer camp near lockers after you hide.
New secret passages
Explore new routes — but don’t rely on them too much. He’s smarter than he looks.
New crouch option
You can now choose between "Hold" or "Toggle" for crouching in the settings menu.
New death scene
A brand new kill animation inspired by Frankenstein.
This update completely transforms the demo experience. If you’ve already played, it’s worth revisiting. And if this is your first time… good luck.
