DJ Life Simulator: Learn to DJ for Real changes
Build 1.158 is now available with gameplay improvements, quality-of-life features, new experimental controller support, and several important bug fixes.
🎛️ Technique
The Technique Meter has been rebalanced.
Previously it lost 1 point every 2 seconds. It now decreases every 4 seconds, giving you more time to let your transitions breathe before performing another trick.
This should make sets feel more natural and less rushed.
🎵 Music Library
Importing large libraries is now much easier.
A new Skip Existing Tracks option lets you import only newly added songs instead of rebuilding your entire database every time.
🎚️ Controller Layouts
You can now switch between controller layouts using the left and right arrows, making navigation much faster.
🚀 Launcher
The launcher video now starts muted by default.
🧪 Experimental Features
We're introducing several experimental features that we'd love your feedback on.
Expert Controller Mode
A brand-new Expert (Experimental) controller profile has been added.
Current experiments include:
Headphone Cue support
Early Beat FX implementation
DDJ-FLX4 Headphone Output
The DDJ-FLX4 can now output the game's headphone cue directly through the controller.
New features include:
Headphone Cue buttons
Controller LED support for Cue buttons
Direct headphone monitoring from the controller
Important
If you experience latency between your headphones and speakers, connect your speakers directly to the controller's Master Outputs instead of using both the PC audio output and the controller audio simultaneously.
At the moment this has only been tested on the DDJ-FLX4. If you try another controller, let us know how it works!
Experimental Offline Mode
The game can now continue running without an internet connection.
Once you're online again, everything is automatically synchronized.
Please note: this feature is still experimental and unexpected issues may occur.
🛠️ Fixes
Fixed an issue where tracks could become stuck in an infinite loading state. If loading fails, an error message will now be shown.
Fixed XML importing for Rekordbox libraries created with different regional settings (such as Poland).
Fixed a bug where the remaining playing track could behave incorrectly after the other track finished.
Fixed an issue where retrying a Career episode could sometimes prevent the set from ending correctly, even with every channel volume lowered.
Fixed playlist scrolling not working correctly during gameplay.
Fixed an issue where tracks containing a "." in their filename could incorrectly display"Track is Missing."
⚠️ Known Issues
Disconnecting a DJ controller while playing may still cause the game to crash.
Thanks for all the feedback and bug reports! They help us improve DJ Life Simulator with every update.
See you in the next build! 🎧
