DIVE or DIE - Children of Rain changes
Aye, I figured you'd come by... and this time it's for the first patch.
You've been diving for a couple days now, and you've been sending us everything you've found down there: bugs, oddities.
We've been reading all of it and we're dedicated to fixing them as soon as we can. We also want to apologize for the few game-breaking bugs that have been plaguing the discovery of the game for some of you.
If your save is currently stuck in a soft-lock state, try reloading it with the new patch as it might be fixed depending on the exact cause.
So, here's the first round of fixes for the patch note 1.0.4.857.
Fixed a number of edge cases that could possibly lead to soft-locks when coming back from a dive, including an issue with the Dark arts IV skills. If your save happened to be locked in this state, you should be able to reload it again.
Fixed a soft-lock state that could happen after dismissing a survivor that was previously manning the Infirmary.
Fixed a few possible edge cases that could cause the Eldritch spider to freeze after latching onto you.
Fixed a localization error when having duplicated input bindings.
Fixed the “Use tool” input not properly rebinding.
Fixed a bug that caused upkeeps and other daily occurrences to happen twice when reloading the game on the post-dive reports.
Added the ability to move toward the cursor using any directional input with mouse steering enabled, instead of just “up”.
Added additional logs and crash reporting features in the backend to facilitate debugging.
Here's the link on 🤖 How to report a bug.
If something still looks wrong down there, tell us, we will continue working on remaining bug fixes and some of your requests for upcoming patches.
