changedHi, everyone! I’m Miranda, your friendly American transplant and Lead Narrative Designer in snowy Quebec City! I’m in charge of writing the codex, dialogue, cinematics, quests, storyline, and so on. Lately, I’ve been working on quests for other regions of the game. I’m also updating content in-game, like quest objectives and codex entries for characters, item descriptions, locations, equipment, etc. Oh, and casting! It’s been especially fun writing scripts for voice actor auditions. Basically, I write a lot – from notes, to powerpoint presentations, to emails, to spreadsheets, to scripts – and then I have to edit it down like crazy. Then my amazing coworkers turn my writing into magic! Once they’ve integrated everything into the game, I play the quests, testing them and seeing if the storylines really hit home or need further revising. It’s an incredible collaboration process!

Anyway, here’s a sneak peek at some of the content I’m working on!

Codex Entry : Draft Kana Luna / Mercury Age: 24 Kana Luna is a former college drop-out that turned to working for a cartel to pay her debts. After witnessing a murder, Kana fled to Mexico with her boss and mentor, Callisto. She trained there for two years and became Mercury, an agent of the Costa Muerta. The Luna family has no idea what Kana’s been up to and neither does her best friend, Mort. She has a younger brother named Akio. Her parents are Alejandro and Yua Luna.

Because we’re a small studio, we have to play a lot of different roles. Your feedback is important to us and helps us make a better game. Please think of yourself as part of the team! I’m so excited to have you here with us and I cannot wait for you the play the game.

-Miranda

PS: What are everyday things Kana (or you) can’t live without?
