Dinosaurs Dominion changes
Hi everyone,
Update V.0.7.0.7 is now LIVE! This update focuses on fixing some known issues, improving combat, and tweaking the lighting.
I originally planned to post this update a bit later with more content, but with all the code changes and improvements happening in the game, I thought it would be best to get this out now to get feedback and work on any necessary fixes along with the content update later on.
With that said lets get on with the update:
New UI images and text
New World Map Image
Improve collision
Ground orientation: dinosaurs will now orient when in slopes
- Improved Lighting and Colorscene light sources (sun and environment), objects materials, post processing, etc, have all been improved to visually fit together in the scene
Improved Hit Boxes: Hit boxes for both players and AIs are now attached to specific bones in the mesh and making them more aligned with the animation
Improved lock on indicator: Now lock on exist in 3Dspace instead of a 2Dto 3D projection
Improved player attack system: Playable characters will hit AIs more accurately even on slopes
Improve root motion hit reaction (push back)
Added poise system
Added evade system for AIs
Added aggressive hit recovery for AIs: Some AIs will immediately attack the player after its hit, in this phase the AI will have 100% poise, so its attacks cant be interrupted
Fix AI taunting: AI will only taunt when its far from the player, this will disable the AI from getting “Cheesed”
Revise player light and heavy attack: light and heavy attack will now be prominent and have better clearer use cases. Light attacks are quick, consumes less stamina, but may have lower damage and not interrupt the AI when it has high poise, while heavy attacks will be slower, consumes more stamina, but will have higher damage output and always interrupt the AI.
Fixed AI overlapping attack animation (invisible Attacks): AI attack animations will now not overlap therefore more visually accurate (no more invisible attack)
Note: may required to restart Steam for the update to start downloading
