Dinogen Online on Steam

I'm excited to bring the game to Steam. Dinogen Online was initially released as a free browser game and has since moved its way to Steam Early Access. I'm the only developer for the game. Working with the community is what drives development.

Existing players can login to their Dinogen Online Account and continue from where you left off. Steam players have access to Steam Cloud, Workshop, friend integration, achievements, stats, and more.

If you are new to Dinogen Online, welcome!

Dinogen Online is a fast-paced 2D multiplayer top-down shooter with plenty of weapons, game modes, and maps. While focus is mainly on multiplayer, local play with bots is always available.

XP is earned in-game by doing pretty much anything; killing enemies, destroying vehicles, completing objectives, throwing grenades, using equipment, etc.

Dinogen Online is divided into 3 main gameplay categories: Standard, Survival, and Scenarios.

Standard

Standard games are the competitive component of Dinogen Online, consisting of game modes like Free-for-All, Team Deathmatch, and Capture the Flag. These game modes allow you play as a human or dinosaur.

Most Standard game modes feature 2 opposing teams with a clear objective. If you're looking for intense team-based gameplay, Standard games should be your choice.

Survival

The concept of Survival games is simple: survive as long as possible.

There are multiple Survival game modes, such as Dinosaur Survival, Militia Survival, and Chaos Survival. Kill endless waves of enemies to earn money and purchase new weapons, turrets, vehicles, and more from the Tactical Crate.

Each Survival mode has its own worldwide leaderboard.

Scenarios

Scenarios are a core feature of Dinogen Online. Most Scenarios are objective-based missions.

The Scenario Editor allows players to create their own maps and missions, ranging from simple map modification or completely brand new game modes. Check out the Community list or Steam Workshop for the latest submissions!

Dinogen Online Account

A Dinogen Online Account is recommended to play, but not required. It allows you to save your profile data and access it on any device (even outside of Steam). This is particularly useful for players who switch between the browser version and PC version.

While optional, using a Dinogen Online Account does have additional benefits. It allows you submit your score in the leaderboards, submit your custom Scenarios in the Community list, and access your profile on different platforms.

Shards

Shards are the in-game currency of Dinogen Online. They are used to unlock weapons, attachments, cosmetic items, dinosaurs, Survival items, and more.

There are multiple ways to get Shards in Dinogen Online:

• Leveling up by earning XP

• Leveling up weapons

• Earning Ribbons

• Completing Daily and Weekly challenges

• Acquiring Bundles
