We've been hard at work since the Kickstarter campaign "ended", here are some of the fruits of our labor, wrapped up neatly in a progress report video:
To summarize:
Expanded emotes
Multiplayer lobbies
Terrain painting
Level Generation
Joints and Welds
All coming to the playable builds relatively soon.

To explain more, a Kickstarter campaign these days has 3 major "phases":
Main campaign (usually 30 days)
Late Pledges (any number of days after the main)
Pledge Manager (late pledges end, but new backers can still join)
We are now in the Pledge Manager phase, which is the really REAL ending, seriously. I know, it's weird, and we didn't exactly know how it worked before we started it all up. The point is, you can STILL pledge to the campaign as a new backer, get some rewards and access to the current playable builds, but it's only going to be open for a few more weeks.
