addedI just thought you all might want to see the progress on the new game. This is only the first 48 hours of programming it, and even planning it out, but I have a ton already done. In this video, you will notice the enemy doesn't work yet until the player's ship gets within a one block range. That is because I have not been able to program the blocks outside of that range yet. But once done, it will know what to do from 4 block out from the player's ship, and anything outside of that range, it will guide itself to get into that range. It's a massive programming challenge to pull this off using only the events and variables, but fully possible and will run smooth and without glitches. Again, none of this is using plugins at all. In this demo, I am using a level 2 sails, so I only get 2 moves each turn. You will be able to upgrade your sails to get up to 4 moves each turn. Later in the game, you will also be able to get spread cannons, that will only hit with a third of the damage, but also include the two block next to the normal cannon target to get hit. And as this demo ends, all boarding ships in battle will set off a JRPG battle for the ship. If the enemy boards you and you win, you just don't lose. But if you board them and win, you take their ship and it's out of the battle. Afterwards, you get the bounty in all ships not sank. I still don't have a good name for this game yet, so if anyone has any suggestions, I can't promise I will use it, but please leave them in the discussion for this announcement. I was thinking Pirate's Bounty, but I feel that's too generic for this game. The on land missions that use JRPG are going to have storylines, so maybe I will wait until those are more clear to name this project.
