Version 10 Update (to be released in Early 2022)

Over the last month I have been working hard on a new Boxscore Viewer for V10, and I have to say I have never been so excited about a new feature in a long time. V10 will be equipped with a Boxscore Viewer search utility that can search for a collection of boxscores that meet detailed criteria. Here are only a few examples:

• Search for all games where Philadelphia was the winning team

• Find boxscores where Philadelphia beat Atlanta and scored more than 5 runs

• Find all Atlanta games in July where Freeman hit at least one HR and Morton got the GS and the W

• Find all division rival, back and forth, come from behind, walk-off victories

This will be a great tool to use when researching the past before playing a game. For example, when getting ready to play LAD vs SFG you could search for all previous games between these teams. If Scherzer is starting for LAD, you can also look at all previous games he has started against SFG (all games, home games, or away games) -- or you can look at all previous games where Scherzer was player of the game. You can even look for games where Buster Posey faced Scherzer and got at least one hit and at one RBI. There is really no end to the research you can do with this tool.

Another exciting thing about this tool is that it will be available for use during a game! For example, imagine that during the LAD/SFG game, Scherzer just struck out his 10th batter. You could use this tool to find out how may times he has done that so far this season, or if he has done it vs SFG this season, or if he has done it at home or away this season, or ..., or..., or...
