It won't have more content than the current playtest, but it will have more finalized art, polished visuals, and better on-boarding. This will introduce a lot of new players to the game, so although it's not anything new, it will still be super important for us!

It has been a huge success for us, with over 25,000 hours played already! It's been awesome seeing how many people are into this vision for the game, and we've also gathered some very useful feedback from those who are more critical of it!

The game and playtime statistics are giving us very strong signals, so we will continue with our vision and spend more time to improve the game based on the feedback!

DEMO Coming Soon (Feb 18th)!

We will have a demo in the upcoming next fest! It won't have more content than the current playtest, but it will have more finalized art, polished visuals, and better on-boarding. This will introduce a lot of new players to the game, so although it's not anything new, it will still be super important for us!

The DEMO will also be fully localized into Simplified Chinese, French, and Japanese!

New Update: Beta 0.5

This update will delete any in-progress runs. We're prepping for the next fest demo, so lots of work on better on-boarding, visuals, menus, quality of life features.

New Content

  • Added the Hex Prince, The Hive's commander

  • Added 13 new Warped units, which is all of the remaining ones!

  • New "Info Display" when you press TAB or in the pause menu

  • New Settings Menu, Compendium, Pause Menu

  • Added Save Profiles (replay the tutorial by making a new profile)

  • Reworked Vengoid

  • Reworked Slusho-Max

  • Reworked Eldritch Tome

  • Reworked Bone Eater

  • Reworked Super Migo

  • Added a Rare "Gain +3 Budge"

  • Added a bunch of new tutorial tips

  • New main menu music (that i'm looping for the encoutner) (more coming soon!)

Other

  • Give XP spell now highlights artifacts that would level up

  • Budge / Chronos become red when there are none left

  • Added icon for when an entity is fully charged

  • Cramped Grid no longer spawns universe or Hexafoil powers

  • Improved visuals across the board, more animations, more art, etc

  • Game now deletes existing runs on major updates that would break backwards compatibility

  • Fixed Warped Rusher doubling strength on respawns

  • Fixed overlapping Tooltip bugs in character selection

  • Tooltips now update live whenever something changes

  • Cursed Items price is now red and shake when you can't buy them

  • Fixed Autoroller's minidice showing +1 DicePower

  • Added all systems for localization

  • Added scaling icon for budge / chrono

  • Tweaked description of several items

  • Fixed undoing budges being weird when doing it on pilot dice

  • Fix Cyclotron softlock

  • White Space -> Rare

  • Buffed Warped Rusher, now has +1 Repeat.

  • Probably some stuff i forgot!
