Dice and Daydream changes
Hello everyone! Demo ver. 2.0 is finally here!
This update marks a major change for Dice and Daydream. We have redesigned the combat system to create more interesting interactions and strategic choices between dice, cards, and player decisions.
In the new combat system, players will focus on developing a single character and make decisions each turn based on the skill cards they draw, the combinations created by the shared dice pool, and their limited Action Points.
Alongside the combat redesign, we have also updated many other parts of the game, including skill cards, the reroll system, shop features, treasures, and gems. Our goal is to create more variety and meaningful strategic choices in every adventure.
Here are the major changes included in this update:
Complete Combat Overhaul
Demo ver. 2.0 brings a major redesign to the core combat experience.
Skill cards no longer have individual dice. Instead, all skills now share a unified dice pool.
At the start of each turn, players roll 5 dice to determine their available options.
When the dice results meet a skill card’s requirements, the skill effect will be enhanced.
Rerolling has been redesigned to reroll one die at a time.
The base reroll count has been increased to 6.
Character and Card System Changes
The number of controllable characters has been reduced from three to one.
Character skill cards are no longer fixed.
Each turn, a set number of skill cards will be drawn from the deck.
Newly acquired skill cards are added directly into the deck without requiring equipment.
Action Point System
Using skill cards now consumes Action Points.
Players start each turn with 3 base Action Points.
Players must carefully manage dice results, skill effects, and Action Points to create effective strategies.
Shop Updates
Added a new card removal feature to shops.
Removing a card costs 50 gold.
Each removal increases the next removal cost by 25 gold.
The removal cost resets after leaving the shop.
Additional Changes
Updated several treasure and gem effects to better fit the redesigned combat system.
Adjusted various balance values.
Fixed multiple bugs.
Thank you to everyone who has participated in the Demo testing. Your feedback continues to help us improve the experience of Dice and Daydream.
