So basically, unity's been messing around with new policies some of which are adding an install fee for their games. Altough I've already heard this particular part might not come through, I don't trust unity at the moment, I don't agree with what they've been doing and I certainly don't want to play with the risks of getting strongly negatively effected or getting financially thrown in to the deepest pits of hell by whatever rules they may or may not come up with.
So I'm going to take this game, or more precisely this version of the game down. At least for now. In the mean time I will work my a## off to try and rebuild this game in unreal engine and get it done sooner rather than later so I can republish this, and of course wish upon the stars that unreal doesn't all of a sudden become an idiot like unity and make me regret this decision. I will try my damnest to make the unreal version as close to the unity version as possible, and from there maybe even improve a little??
Apologies for doing this. I can't tell how long this rebuild is going to take since I'm completely alone with this and I got some other things to do as well, but I'm trying to be optimistic and say a few months? It really depends on how much trouble unreal engine is going to give me. I have used it for few months and I'm still learning it. If all hope is completely lost with this attempt or unity starts to seem like a great option again, I might concider putting up the unity version again. But first I will give unreal engine a shot. Hopefully it'll be smooth sailing. Cheers.
