changedTo coincide with Detective Instinct 's participation in the 2024 Indie X showcase , we have updated our demo with some heavily requested features, as well as a few more refinements. They are as follows:
added"Restore Submenu" option has been added to the Options Menu. This keeps the player in a submenu when text finishes writing instead of reverting them back to the root menu (so, if you're looking at various options inside of the "Talk" command, you will still be looking at those options when control returns to the command menu).
removedIn most cases, the player will no longer be reverted back to the root menu after investigating a spot in the background ; they will instead remain in the investigation state until they choose to back out of it with the cancel button.
changedSome small updates have been made to the writing for increased clarity.
changedIf you haven't tried the demo yet, there's never been a better time! And we're still collecting feedback, so if you'd like to have your voice heard about other things we may be missing, feel free to give the demo a shot and submit a feedback response form here (the link can also be found in game): https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfIaCvm5fN8mG9TAdeqAbMsqPj7cjhjvdyvm3_cqJOGbCxJfw/viewform?usp=sf_link
