Repeated intro
Hello, DeTechtive 2112 Community!
What changed
- UI and audio
- Gameplay
In this developer diary, we’re diving into two key elements that enhance the atmosphere of our game: sound design and lighting. Our team has been working tirelessly to make every corner of our cyberpunk world feel more alive and immersive. Here’s what we’ve been up to!
🛠️ A Living World Through Sound Design We’ve made extensive improvements to the sound design of DeTechtive 2112 to enrich the experience. Here are the highlights:
Street Sounds and Neon Signs:
As you wander the neon-lit streets, you’ll hear an immersive ambient soundscape. From the static hum of electronic billboards to the subtle vibrations of neon lights, every detail has been designed to make you feel like you’re truly part of the city.
Weapon Sounds:
We’ve revamped the sounds for each weapon type, ensuring every gunshot, explosion, and reload feels distinct and impactful. Combat has never sounded so satisfying!
Interface Sounds:
To enhance the futuristic vibe, we’ve updated the menu and interface sound effects. New clicks and transitions blend seamlessly with the game’s high-tech aesthetic.
Enemy Sounds:
Enemies are now as threatening to your ears as they are to your eyes. Each enemy type has unique sound effects, giving you audio cues for when they detect or attack you.
💡 Lighting: A New Glow for Our Cyberpunk World Lighting is one of the most vital elements in shaping the atmosphere of DeTechtive 2112. We’ve made significant adjustments across various maps to improve both visuals and gameplay. Neon lights are now brighter and more striking. As you explore, you’ll feel the interplay of shadows and light, bringing the streets to life.
Indoor Areas:
Enhanced contrasts and smooth light transitions create a more immersive atmosphere, supporting stealth mechanics. Dark corners feel even more ominous.
Industrial Zones:
Warm and cool light contrasts in factories and machine-filled environments add depth and texture to these areas.
Your Feedback Matters Sound and lighting are at the heart of what makes DeTechtive 2112 a rich and engaging experience. We can’t wait for you to experience these updates for yourself. Let us know what you think and help us make the game even better!
