First of all, we owe you an apology. It’s been a long time since our last update, and we haven’t been as communicative as we should have. Please know that we are here for you, and Destroyer: The U-Boat Hunter is absolutely not abandonware.

We’ve been quietly working in the background, and today we bring you a fresh batch of fixes. These come directly from your reports, whether on the Steam forums, through the in-game Bug Reporter, or on our official Discord channel. Your feedback continues to be invaluable in shaping and improving the game.

What we managed to do:

  • Fixed the display of textures on instruments that were unreadable (too blurry) when using low quality or performance settings.

  • Improved the display of the DRT ruler and disk.

  • Fixed the display of the bearing indicator in the top-left corner of the BRIDGE.

  • Improved the rendering of all other elements that feature a 360-degree angular scale (bearings).

  • Fixes for displaying the game in non-standard resolutions and widescreen mode.

  • World rendering fixes in external views: - too bright (glowing ships), - too dark (black screen).

Help us hunt the bugs

We would love your help in testing and tracking down more issues. If you encounter problems, please keep using the Bug Reporter, it makes a huge difference when you include:

  • A clear description of what happened,

  • Your system specifications,

  • And especially details about your graphics card.

We want to highlight that Intel graphics cards remain our biggest challenge — the bright glow on ships. If you’re running the game on one of these, your feedback is particularly important right now.

Also, a sudden blackout of the screen during gameplay is an issue (but that is not connected with Intel), so if you still experience this, please give us a ping.

Thank You for being with us!

Finally, we just want to thank you again for your patience and continued support. Destroyer: The U-Boat Hunter is a complex simulation, and your passion keeps us motivated to push forward. We’re grateful for every bug report, suggestion, and kind word.

See you at sea,
