Destiny of the World now has a native Linux version on Steam.
The Linux version is a native build, not a Proton wrapper, and includes the same features and scenarios as the Windows version.
A few notes for Linux players:
SteamOS and Ubuntu 20.04+ are the primary supported targets.
Steam Deck compatibility has not yet been verified. I haven’t been able to test on Deck hardware yet, but I plan to share an update once I can.
If you run into Linux-specific issues such as crashes, audio problems, or display bugs, please post them in the discussion forum. If possible, include your distro and GPU driver version so I can investigate more effectively.
Other Release Notes
This version uses a new Save Game Format. The old format used a deprecated .Net feature. If you have a PBEM game in progress, you should finish it prior to updating to this game version. All PBEM players must use the same game version.
Reduced hit chance for submarine-to-submarine torpedo hits to reflect historical numbers
