Deskrawl: Idle ARPG changes
Today we're bringing a big patch!
Layer 20 Talents Unlocked
Five brand-new Warrior talents are now available:
Onslaught – bonus damage against stunned targets
Enhance Flame Strike: Damage – Flame Strike hits for additional damage
Enhance Valiant Strike: Mana Gain – extra mana generated from Valiant Strike
[Undead] Slave Boost – your active [Undead] minion grants Critical Hit Damage
Vicious Thorns – Thorns can now land Critical Hits
Online Character
When you create a new character now you have the option to make it an online character. Your existing character is now auto converted to an offline character. In Online mode, the character can participate in additional social features and important data is managed by server. Currently the only online feature added is Leaderboard, and we will add more features in the future. In addition this new architecture paves the foundation to build future social and trading systems. We highly encourage everyone to try Online mode to help us test and improve.
Leaderboard can be found in character panel, currently it's a rank of fastest Treant Boss map clear time. The goal of this is mostly for us to test, but hope you can still have some fun with it!
Anti-Cheat
We have implemented client side anti-cheat system that protects against memory modification, speed hack, source code tempering etc. For online characters, it will enjoy an additional layer of data protection from the server. If you found a vulnerability please let us know so we can enhance the system
Quality of Life Features Steam post image
New Combat Settings - adjust Hp Potion threshold, auto use combat potions etc.
Added multi-character save slots
Added item Lock to prevent accidental selling
Added equipment stat-diff comparison and consistent stat sorting
Combat Summary now shows single-run and cumulative time in combat
Added a "reset UI only" settings button and auto panel reset when opening
Added a Physical tag to physical-damage abilities
Gameplay Changes
[Strong Attack] abilities no longer have CD and fully gated by Mana.
[Special] abilities no longer have Mana Cost and fully gated by CD.
Ability final level now grants a double bonus
Equipment upgrades are now capped at +10 with a lowered success chance
Treant Boss heal nerfed with a longer CD, damage reduced by 10%
Reins can continue to drop even if you have or unlocked the minion. Drop rates lowered for lower quality reins.
Bug Fixes
Fixed NPC dialogue not closing after teleporting
Fixed drinking a potion not updating the font, and corrected a few talent positions
Fixed several panels with incorrect position appearing outside the window
Fixed clicking Return to Town from the Combat Summary causing the character to start walking
Fixed material not being consumed and the map not completing when returning to town immediately after killing the boss
