Hello everyone!
It's been a few years now that I'm working on Depth-Bound, and I'm extremely happy that the game now has a Steam page! It seems like a huge step, and I'm extremely glad the game is going in the right direction! I'm working hard on it, and I really hope it will be something that players will enjoy.
Let me tell you more about my game: Depth-Bound is a 2D platformer made with GameMaker. You control the captain of a submarine, who finally, after years of waiting, got the money to be able to explore a mysterious deep ocean: the Under-Sea. Your goal: reaching the bottom point of the abyss, while taking pictures of the species you meet on your journey.
Depth-Bound is a platformer, but as you control a submarine, it's not really like any other platformer. You dive, you take speed, then you use your momentum to emerge out of water and delve again a few meters further. This will allow you to discover the mysterious depths of the Under-Sea.
The other main mechanic is your ability to take pictures of fish and species you meet on your journey. Some are shy, some are aggressive, some won't even notice you. Some will have strange colors and shapes, some will have unique characteristics, some will just be waiting for you to take amazing pictures of their beautiful fins. There will be more than 80 fish in total to take pictures of, and each have a unique record card, so you can collect pictures of them all!
I really can't wait to share more about my game, and to propose later this year a demo so you can try, and see how fun it is to just jump and swim in the Under-Sea.
