Demigod Islands: A Puzzle to Die For changes
Hi everyone!
I’ve just uploaded an updated version of the demo for Demigod Islands: A Puzzle to Die For.
Demigod Islands is a 2D puzzle-platformer where the usual goal is turned upside down: instead of avoiding danger, your job is to figure out how to sacrifice all of your characters in each puzzle room.
This update focuses on making the demo clearer, smoother, and more polished ahead of Steam Next Fest.
Here are the main changes:
Added unique comic-style windows for each death
Added progress tracking to the pause menu, so you can see how far you are in the demo or full game
Added signs for transformation pads and color-coded lasers to make puzzles clearer
Dialogue can now be skipped, including the intro
Added tutorial hints for restarting in the first level
Improved several interactions to make them easier to work with, such as making enemies fall through doors more reliably
Fixed various bugs
In the demo, you can explore parts of two islands, solve 9 puzzle rooms, and find one special secret puzzle room if you’re looking for an extra challenge.
If you try the updated demo, I’d really appreciate your feedback — especially on puzzle clarity, difficulty, controls, bugs, or anything that felt confusing.
You can share your thoughts in the Steam Discussions:

Bug Reports
And if you enjoy the demo, please consider wishlisting the full game. The full version will include 50+ puzzle rooms, more mechanics, more secrets, and the full story of the demigod brothers.
Thanks for playing!
