Delve Into Pawssion changes
First of all, I apologize for the long delay. The main reason is because I've been having multiple health problems which has been slowing me down a lot. However, I've been working on the game slowly, be sure I won't abandon it at all and I'll try my best to deliver a finished game in the future!
I'll start with the most important changes and clarifications:
Is there new story content?
Not yet and I'm sorry for delaying on this regard, I know a lot of you are waiting to play further into the story, but I wanted to set solid the foundations of the core gameplay, that way I wont need to go back and fix all with the risk of messing everything up. This time though, I have added all I wanted to add which I'll mention below.
Obsolete Save Files. Please start a new save:
Due the addition of new features, the old saves has been rendered obsolete. I apologize for this. During Early Access I'm trying to avoid this at all cost, but sometimes new additions just messes up things from the core. Which is why I prefered to work on these before features before continuing with the story, so if there is ever any progress lost, it will kept as minimal.
Loading an old save may make a mess in your save file, Please make a new one!
New Gameplay and Features
New Avatar/Class: The Summoner
The Summoner has been added for you to play! Although is still under testing, it may be a bit buggy or unbalanced, so if you notice anything odd let me know!
The summoner plays differently than the other characters, it requires more planning and a strategy than the other Avatar/Classes, but also has great potential for builds!
Other Avatar/Classes:
The other Avatar/Classes has been polished and tweaked, they should be fully functional! Still if you notice anything odd please let me know.
NEW FEATURE: Map Screen
I've hand drawn the map screen of the 3 main dungeons! The other dungeons offers no map for other reasons.
The map can be upgraded and will show you all kind of locations with icons, these include: Items, Treasures, Collectibles, NPCs, Shops and of course, your own location. The map marks your current area and is not in real time though, but it will help you get items you may have missed at first glance. Still, some items may not be marked yet as the game hasn't reached that far into the story.
NEW FEATURE: Bestiary
The Bestiary can be found at the Library! The Bestiary is filled upon defeating an enemy and winning the battle. Escaping or being defeated won't register an entry. The bestiary offers the following information:
Location of the enemy
HP
Weaknesses and Resistances (Some enemies may give slightly wrong information, will fix!)
Loot dropped in different rarities
Quality of Life Features:
Item Popups:
Items will be shown with a popup, this will get rid of constantly being paused with item chatboxes, everything should flow better, including items that are stolen from enemies or being insta-defeated.
This feature existed previously but has been enhanced!
Improved Sprites:
Some characters has an improved sprite, this also includes running and walking for playable characters.
Weakness and Resistances Popups:
Enemies now shows a Weak/Resist/Immune popup whenever being attacked respectively.
There is also a Weak/Resist Chart in the Tutorial Menu.
Music Themes for some characters:
Characters are getting special original themes for them, currently Yuki and Stripe has them. There is also a new original main theme at the title screen!
Revamped Status Menu:
You can see more information about your character stats now!
Bug Fixes:
There has been a lot of fixes in the game, I don't want to put a wall of text since there were so many and I'll probably forget a few, but here is a list of some important ones.
Fixed some odd behaviors in some tiles where the character jumped or gained items for no reason
Fixed a bug where the player sometimes didn't receive a Skill
Basic Attack Combos were acting off, this should be fixed for all characters
Some movable objects kept moving back to original positions when it was intended for them to stay.
Character sprites appearing in scenes they weren't meant to be.
Fixed "Follow Me" skill bugging the combat.
Fixed some Shiny items being missed.
Fixed a bug where characters cloned themselves or disappeared.
Fixed a bug where the player names was being displayed incorrectly
Fixed multiple texture and hitbox problems.
Corrected multiple grammar issues (there may be some left)
Fixed a bug where the player could escape of unscapable battles.
Fxied multiple game crashes from missing assets
Fixed popups staying on screen
Reduced the lag considerably in some areas.
Fixed multiple icons being displayed wrong
Fixed problems where a character picture would stay on screen.
Fixed a bug where a particular enemy was behaving wrong depending on the Avatar/Class.
Fixed a bug where enemies reisstant or vulnerable to certain skills where being ignored.
And many other small bugs.
