Repeated intro

Hey everyone! It's Marten here, once again with some Defunct news. Since the last update we've published for the game, we've been encountering some bugs in the game, which we haven't able to crush just yet. Now, as a temporary update, we're going to do the following. From now on, when you start the game, you'll get the option of choosing between playing in the current version (V1.0.2) or the previous version (V1.0.1). Choosing for the previous version will ensure that your experience is optimal as you won't encounter any of the following bugs:

What changed

  • Maps
  • UI and audio

changedPlease be aware that when you play the game in v1.0.1, you'll start with a fresh save file. If you've played Defunct on V1.0.1. before, you'll continue with the last save game made in that version. This doesn't mean that your previous progress will be wiped, though. Once we're updating the game to v1.0.3, the save game from v1.0.2 will be preserved. Also, the v1.0.2 was mainly a language update, so just the following languages will be available in v1.0.1
  • An issue where players can't pick up boosts properly in some instances

  • Issues with collectibles, not registering properly

  • Clipping issues, in rare cases players are falling through the map

  • Lighting bugs

  • Issues with audio levels

In the meantime, we're working our uhm... gravitize engines off to fix the bugs in the most recent version, so we can finally get some rest ːsteamboredː If there's any questions, let me know in the comments below!
