Welcome Defenders!
We haven't heard from each other for a long time, but I'm coming to you with an amazing update that I've been working on all this time. It was definitely not easy to find time between holidays and university classes, but despite everything, I tried with all my heart to improve Defendron every day. Without further ado, let's get into the changes!
General
Bosses and Progression
Add SDD Upgrade Disks, permanent upgrades to assists you in further adventures, unlocked with stars
Add new boss entrance sequence
Difficulty and Balance
Add environmental hazards system occurring in hard mode, featuring new obstacles to overcome, thus increasing the level of difficulty
Toxic Clouds
Smoke Clouds
Broken Parts
Warning Signs
Spent a lot of time improving the balance of towers, modules, and other systems with careful tweaks
Visual Enhancements
Completely revamped visual effects
Enemies
Add enemy carriers starting from 40th wave
Add 3 new enemy types
Expand enemies resistance system
Towers
Tower Mechanics
Changed Plasma Emitter percentage damage to flat damage
Essence Replenisher now automatically gets random buffs and distributes them to the nearest towers (number of buffs increases with levels)
Add new tower statistic "Luck", that represents a chance for critial hit
Tower Enhancements
Neon Cutter VFX upgrade
Add tower selection in menu screen
Add 2 new towers
Quantum Rebound
Skywatcher
Add tower kill count to tower popup
Visual Indicators
Towers have different colored range indicators
Modules
Add 22 new modules
Completely revamped modules system
Removed modules tier system
Removed modules crafting system (temporarily)
Some modules are now affected by the new tower statistic "Luck"
UI
Moved autoplay toggle to the side panel
Changed locked level design in the menu
Improved selection behavior of the module selection panel
Add level completition unlocks panel visible in level card
