Deep Russian Depression changes
Developer of Deep Russian Depression wanted to create a grim visual novel about melancholy and hopelessness, but it suddenly became clear that no one can compare to a Runet (Russian Internet) veteran when it comes to the art of transmitting pain and despondency. So, the developer did the wise thing: hired someone who knows their stuff. Especially for those who feel the game lacks an authentic voice of the Russian soul, I present to you our first collaboration!
Deep Russian Depression × Ozon671games
What is this?
This is a literary adaptation of the main storyline of Deep Russian Depression, narrated by a well-known streamer and blogger from the "lower internet" — Ozon671Games. You can expect:
An unrelenting stream of consciousness based on the plot;
A deep, smoke-ravaged bass voice that makes even the walls of your apartment tremble (and that’s no exaggeration — the walls are old acquaintances of his);
Philosophical reflections on the fate of post-Soviet man, interspersed with brilliant improvisations;
A "literary phenomenon of the lower internet" in your headphones.
How does this relate to the game?
The audiobook will be integrated into Deep Russian Depression as a separate free additional story (or a severe test of your psyche, whichever you prefer). Now you can not only read about a miserable existence but also listen to it in the voice of a famous blogger!
When?
This announcement is released on April 1st, because any other day for such news would be far too serious. The audiobook will be released as soon as it’s ready, and the additional story will be promptly implemented into the game. Follow the news on the developer’s Telegram channel .
