This update focuses on the most problematic issues including some QoL updates and some balancing. This is probably the last demo update as I will be moving on to the full production now.
BALANCE
- Reworked COMB HEART boss
- You can now slide to drastically reduce the damage of Ablaze effect
- Reduced Basic Pistol's damage (19 >> 17)
- Buffed base punch damage (15 >> 21)
- Decreased maximum amount of modifiers applicable on a weapon (4 >> 3)
- Decreased EYEGORE's HP
- Healing item now also spawns in the introductory run
- Slightly increased damage for all minibosses
- Increased Mimic's damage
- Minibosses are immune to freeze
- You are now allowed to carry a relic into the next layer if you have a spare one
- Slightly adjusted HP for Surface Layer enemies
- Shop now always spawns a weapon bait
ITEMS / WEAPONS
- Removed Scroll of Rage
- Removed Scroll of Ghost Punch
- Added Scroll of Pai Mei (Merged both previous scrolls into one)
- Increased Flare Gun's bullet damage (4 >> 33)
- Increased Boomerang's damage (40 >> 55) and bullet speed
- Increased Slingshot's damage (30 >> 45), decreased Crit multiplier (4x >> 3x)
- Increased Laser Blaster's Damage (20 >> 31)
- Decreased Kunai Fan's bullet damage (16 >> 14)
QOL
- Pogo Stick now only works in combat rooms
- Added an option to invert mouse input
- Added an option to censor profanity dialogue
- Angler now tells you directly that the demo is over. With red text so you don't accidentally miss it
- When inside a dialogue for too long, an interact prompt will pop up
- Pickupables don't block bullets now
- Game does not run in background anymore if alt-tabbed, the game will also automatically pause
- Added SFX for Pandora's Box
BUG FIX
- Minibosses HP do not scale with their corresponding layer anymore
- Hammer miniboss can no longer be killed instantly while falling from previous floor
- Mimics now drop a soul when killed
- Weapon Modification Station now properly updates blessing descriptions for melee weapons
- Torture Machine now damages even when in GODMODE
- Fixed a case where shooting attack of Hammer miniboss would fail while standing in a fire
- Fixed a case where chandeliers could be activated from another floor by AOE damage
- Fixed a case where fished out items clipped into a wall
- Fixed a case where rod would not deselect after falling to a floor below
- (Hopefully) Fixed a case where Ice Cubes would get clipped into a wall
- Temporarily fixed a case where you could get clipped into a wall during EYEGORE fight
- Fixed a case where Basic Pistol's blessings would show ERROR stat
- Fixed a case where you could kill the shop dummy with Bartending Knife
- Fixed a case where you could get out of bounds in mausoleum when using Soul Gate
- Fixed a case where lasers would prevent shooting
- Fixed a case where killing enemies before the first wave, spawned another wave
