changedWHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE A NEW PORTER TO HELP THEM MAKE A SUCCESSFUL DELIVERY?Before rebuilding the road, always check for network connectivity. The rebuild terminal gets filled with some materials the moment the region gets connected to the Chiral network. You’ll save about half the materials for each terminal! - No_Story2911
changedWHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE A NEW PORTER TO HELP THEM MAKE A SUCCESSFUL DELIVERY?While using the map to plan your route, always tilt the map to check how good or bad the terrain is. Helps you know if you might need a ladder, or if carrying the floating carrier actually makes sense. - dude_kp
changedWHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE A NEW PORTER TO HELP THEM MAKE A SUCCESSFUL DELIVERY?Keep a couple of PCC on you at all times. If something happens you can just build a structure, use it, and then dismantle it. (Provided you have network coverage). So if you run out of battery, you can build a generator to recharge. If your containers get damaged you can build a timefall shelter. See a really convenient zip line in the distance? Just build a zipline, zip to the one in the distance, then dismantle the one you built if you wont use it again. You CAN dismantle your own structures from the map. - bp1976
changedWHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE A NEW PORTER TO HELP THEM MAKE A SUCCESSFUL DELIVERY?Slow down and breathe in. Give the game a chance to take you on an incredible journey you may fall in love with. Slow is steady and every step matters, no matter how small. If something is scary or risky, sometimes its better to go around. It's alright if you stumble in the beginning, you'll master it eventually. Enjoy the small mundane things. Keep on keeping on! - ChiralParticle

Throughout 2026, we want to give our experienced Porters the opportunity to share their top tips and learnings with those just starting out. Last week, we asked the following question to our community...

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE A NEW PORTER TO HELP THEM MAKE A SUCCESSFUL DELIVERY?

Check out some of our favourite responses below. A huge thank you to everyone who got involved in our February Porters Supporting Porters blog! Stay tuned for more info on how you can get involved in the next one.

Before rebuilding the road, always check for network connectivity. The rebuild terminal gets filled with some materials the moment the region gets connected to the Chiral network. You’ll save about half the materials for each terminal! - No_Story2911

While using the map to plan your route, always tilt the map to check how good or bad the terrain is. Helps you know if you might need a ladder, or if carrying the floating carrier actually makes sense. - dude_kp

Your other Porters are sometimes your biggest help. They can help make roads and shelters. Keep generators in key places and share supplies when you're able to. - hcky plyer

Slow down and breathe in. Give the game a chance to take you on an incredible journey you may fall in love with. Slow is steady and every step matters, no matter how small. If something is scary or risky, sometimes its better to go around. It's alright if you stumble in the beginning, you'll master it eventually. Enjoy the small mundane things. Always think about what to carry - easier with a vehicle. And scan the water depth and watch your stamina, or you'll learn by watching your cargo float away mid delivery! - wh0else

Repair roads. Great help for endgame. And deliveries. - icnsplit

Exo Skeletons, stabilizers, and floating carriers. You’ll be able to handle higher cargo loads while on foot/when vehicle traversal isn’t possible. - Teslaosiris

A new Porter should use the map to chose and plot a good route to the delivery point. They shouldn't bring too much stuff because it tires them out and makes them unsteady on their feet. Use the map to to check the terrain to pick the least difficult path. (I use a controller - open the map, use the right joystick to view the terrain from the side - best I can describe it) Look at the map while in transit to check that they are on the right track - use way points. Practice using the controls so they can be used without looking at the controls or thinking about them. - SlowClick

Side quests and lost cargo drop off up to 4 stars are a very good source of materials. The shared locker will have lost cargo in it for you to return for likes, and tools from your fellow Porters. Likes are free to give so spam that like button as it helps your fellow Porters out. - fluffysnowcap

A simple one: take your time. - dreanov

Scan terrain. Saves me a lot of needless stumbles. - Kat_Box_S

Just don't be so serious, keep it slow and steady, plot your routes. - wailky2008
