Deadlivery Night changes
Version 1.0 and the future
Hello, first of all, we want to sincerely thank everyone who bought the game when it was released in early access last year, as well as the small streamers who created content about the game. Your reviews and comments mean a lot to us, and although there weren't many, they were essential in shaping the project.
We want to tell you a little about ourselves: We are a very small, completely independent studio from Mexico. When we say we are indie, we mean it. We have no contacts or ways to reach publishers, and although we have very big dreams, we also want to be realistic about our production capabilities as video game developers. We mention this because, although our vision for Deadlivery Night was for a much more ambitious game, the reality is that we can only fulfill a part of this vision in our current situation, and therefore today marks the release of the final version of the game.
With a touch of sadness but also a sense of relief, we're pleased to announce that while Deadlivery Night isn't the dream we envisioned in our Game Design Document, we feel it's a complete game that can provide a great time. And we're happy to know it won't just become another piece of abandonware floating around on Steam.
Is this the end of Deadlivery Night? We don't know. Right now, our small team needs to focus on one of the most essential parts of game development that all indie developers tend to overlook: marketing. We're going to work hard to raise awareness of the project, and with a bit of luck, maybe we can justify continuing development to reach that dream version.
For now, here's everything new in version 1.0 of Deadlivery Night:
A brand-new, fully detailed district, complete with a new enemy that will make traversing it a real challenge! Midtown is complete with its picturesque Chinese Corner, an area inspired by the Chinatowns of various cities where the claustrophobic dead-end streets will be a nightmare to cross when combined with "the Statue," a colossal enemy that will descend from the skies to make an omelet out of you. With this new district, the city of Santa Monica is completely enclosed, creating a circuit where the player can plan and learn the shortcuts and routes to maximize their movement.
Steam achievements! We are pleased to announce that the game features 12 fully integrated Steam achievements.
- Notes in the backroomsWe added classic horror game notes to our backrooms area to make exploration more worthwhile. These notes tell the secret story behind the mysterious events in the game.
Fully integrated upgrade system: Pappi will now sell upgrades for your motorcycle! Think carefully and balance your money with the items that will help you survive, along with the upgrades you make.
Two fully animated endings depending on your performance in the game and whether you reached your money goal!
A couple of new characters, many bug fixes, and other details have been improved for this version.
It's also important to mention, with complete transparency, that we will be raising the price of the full game to one we feel is fair for the amount of content offered. We will constantly be offering discounts and seeking to participate in various bundles and events, so tell your friends!
Once again, thank you so much to the few who have purchased the game, and we hope you enjoy this version! And so long for now Deadliveries!
