Hello everyone!
We’re actively working on the release version of Dead Station Files, but the demo is not being left behind. We want it to give a better idea of the full game, without revealing all the surprises and ideas we have prepared for you.
Our near-term plans:
Several small patches for the demo
Further development of the game’s art direction
A brand new trailer (finally!)
Improvements to the Dead Station Files Steam page
Upcoming playtest
Very soon, we’ll open sign-ups for the playtest of the release version, where we’ll be testing the progression system to make the game as engaging and well-balanced as possible — the way we envision it, and the way you want it to be.
We plan to launch the playtest in waves, and by joining it you’ll be able to invite up to three friends to participate!
What’s new in this update:
Skip function for the post-level station event report
Color schemes for improved accessibility
A run duration timer
Forced 16:9 display mode (for ultrawide and non-standard monitors)
2 new equipment items
Fixes and adjustments:
Improved display of the current level on the station
Focus effects are now shown inside story files
Updated item sprites
Balance adjustments
Numerous bug fixes
