changedConsole PortsThis is the question I get the most, and while I don’t think it affects the majority of you here, a few words on console ports: The game will release on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch. The ports are being developed by eastasiasoft, so I'm not actively involved at this stage. They are slated for a 2025 release, but no definite date has been announced yet.
addedBig Thank You and a Few Words About the FutureLastly, I’d like to thank everyone who has played and/or supported the game up to this point! I’ve been overwhelmed by the amount of positive feedback — here in the forums and review section, as well as on YouTube, Twitch, and other social media platforms. I'm always happy to read new reviews (I think I’ve read all of them up to this point!), so if you haven’t dropped one yet, please consider doing so if time allows. :)
addedBig Thank You and a Few Words About the FutureIt's worth noting that there will be no DLC or additional game content for Dead of Darkness. This part of the story as it stands now is how I envisioned it, and I don’t want to bloat or extend it unnecessarily. It was also important to me to deliver a game that comes complete from the start, with everything unlockable just by playing it (Very Hard difficulty, In the Dead of Darkness difficulty, New Game Plus).

Hi everyone,

Over the past few weeks, I’ve released a bunch of smaller updates that mostly addressed bugs reported in the forums or on Discord. Today, I'm happy to share with you a bigger Steam-related update!

Community Items

Starting right now, Dead of Darkness also has community items!

  • Trading Cards – These showcase some of the detailed creature concept art created for the game, along with additional information on each creature.

  • Badges

  • Emoticons – Showing various expressions of Miles and Olivia, some of which weren’t even used in the final release.

  • Backgrounds – Based on the game’s key art, some also show additional creature details.

Console Ports

This is the question I get the most, and while I don’t think it affects the majority of you here, a few words on console ports: The game will release on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch. The ports are being developed by eastasiasoft, so I'm not actively involved at this stage. They are slated for a 2025 release, but no definite date has been announced yet.

SALE!

I'm also happy to announce that the first ever custom sale of Dead of Darkness has launched! You can get the game for 20% off until April 22nd!

Big Thank You and a Few Words About the Future

Lastly, I’d like to thank everyone who has played and/or supported the game up to this point! :)

It's worth noting that there will be no DLC or additional game content for Dead of Darkness.

That said, while I’ll continue to support the game with bug fixes and smaller adjustments, I’ll soon be moving on to my next project (potentially related to this one — who knows, right? :) ).
