Coming Soon: Nightmare Loop & Level 70 Content Update

We’ve got some absolutely massive updates in the pipeline, and we honestly can’t wait to share what’s coming next to Dead Frontier 2!

Here is a breakdown of what you can expect in the near future.

Nightmare Loop

Releasing in just a couple of weeks!

Prepare to die... a lot. Anklast has been hard at work for the past several months developing Nightmare Loop, a hardcore, perma-death roguelike mini-game prequel.

Designed to offer a completely new angle to Dead Frontier 2, this brutal end-game challenge unlocks only after you have at least one character who has reached Level 60. Expect to fail multiple times—while your experience matters, the roguelike odds can and will be stacked against you. However, the struggle is entirely worth it: characters that manage to successfully conquer the loop will arrive in the main world completely decked out with extra perks.

We’ve already completed testing, so keep your eyes peeled for the official launch in just a few weeks! Alongside the Nightmare Loop release, we are also rolling out:

  • 30 New Achievements for the Main Storyline.

  • New Secronom Uniques available for purchase from George Boylan, the Council's faction trader NPC located at Council HQ.

  • A New Transport NPC who can ferry players directly into Secronom's Bunker (requires Adler's Eye to access).

Level 70 Content Update

Targeted for Early Autumn

If surviving the Nightmare Loop isn't enough for you, we are also currently working on a massive endgame content update! Here is a sneak peek at what is currently in development:

  • Increased Level Cap: Push your survivors further—all the way up to Level 70!

  • Massive Zombie VarietyWe are introducing a huge pool of themed zombie designs, including police officers, soldier, doctors, bandits, cultists, survivors, and more. Each new model features a massive variety of mix-and-match clothing and body parts, exponentially increasing the visual variety of the undead you face.
  • Two New End-Game AreasMassive new zones to explore and conquer.
  • New End-Game BossFace off against at least one brand-new, terrifyingly large boss enemy.
  • New GearA huge variety of new weapons and equipment to loot and equip.
  • New Daily End Game: A fresh daily end-game mission to keep your skills sharp and the rewards flowing.

I’ll leave you with some screenshots of our horrifying new zombie models below. We hope you love them as much as we do! Steam post imageSteam post imageSteam post imageSteam post imageSteam post imageSteam post imageSteam post imageSteam post image
