That's a wrap on our Playtest Cycle #1, and we cannot thank you enough!
Over the past months, you've ventured deep into the Purple Fog, hunted in the fog, broken things in beautiful ways, and sent us a flood of feedback, bug reports, clips, and screenshots. Every single one of them is helping us shape DDoD into the game we love playing ourselves.
What happened during the Playtest:
you've played 35,311 hours together, which roughly translates into 49 months. That's enough time to get a medical degree.
you've walked 138,921 kilometers combined. For perspective, it's almost 3.5 times around the Earth equator or more then a third distance to the Moon.
you've killed 2,994,644 mutants in the Purple Lands and died 26,151 times. You can count, that collective K/D ratio was 120:1 - for every time you died, you took 120 of them with you. Honestly, it's the most efficient military operation in the Purple Lands
4,513,457 rounds of 9mm were collected . That's approximately 54 tonnes of lead passing through the Purple Lands. Environmentally concerning.
by the way, a regular Soldier was the most dangerous mofo, who killed you about 8958 times (35% of the all player deaths). Old habits die hard, eh?
the most thrilling and deadliest encounter was at TKZ Prohres, where Grenadiers and Frograts claimed 865 lives combined.
and a Frograt killed you 2,352 times all around the Purple Lands. A frog. Did that. To you. We will not elaborate further.
And a couple of personal scores for the history:
- Cosmeticthe longest single run covered 62.21 kmthat's a marathon and a half, through a post-apocalyptic nightmare.
one of you killed 945 mutants in a single 8-hour session - that's one kill every 31 seconds, without stopping. Who are you, Reaper?
Every bug report, every Discord message, every feedback survey helped us to polish the game and improve the moment-to-moment feel. Huge thank you, folks!
We're now heading back into the bunker to dig the last pieces of your feedback and get the Demo build ready. The Playtest build will stay with you for another week or so (we keep looking into the data)!
It won't be long until you hear from us again.
Until then, stay tuned for more!
See you in the Fog,
The DDoD Team 💜
