changedA twin-stick shooter set within the human body – that’s the premise of DC3: Viral Menace. The challenge - reimagining combat in an area that is not meant for bullets, while ensuring that the solution upholds the functionality, aesthetics and thematics of the game.
changedPerhaps we can! Dr. Capsule is trying to fight off an infection and heal Patient Zero in the process. We needed to combine powerful offense and (fantastical) medical innovation into a device that functions as a weapon and fits the world of DC3.
changedThe shape of a hummingbird’s beak, their swift movements and miniature size, and their feisty nature (they’re vicious despite being cute) led us to the design of the Caper 5000’s primary weapon. One which Dr. Capsule uses to great effect against those dastardly viruses.
changedThe Hummingbird is a nano-mechanical, lightning fast, syringe-beaked weapon, that injects its twilight-zone enemies with potent chemicals and breaks them down into collectible antigen. As we move closer to development, we’ll dive deeper into its specific functionality, and explore how this pocket sized bird found its way into Aisle’s blueprints.
