What changed
- Gameplay
Dawn of Man changes
As you might know, we are working on Planetbase 2. This is obviously not Dawn of Man 2, but it's pretty close, as we are borrowing a lot of inspiration from it in terms of gameplay
We hope that people will feel right at home in it, as if coming back to a familiar world, even in a very different setting.
Planetbase 2 This is a recap of what we've done so far.
Vehicles
Planetbase 2 will feature a few different vehicles, as with Dawn Of Man, these will help colonists perform their tasks more efficiently.
Food production
In Planetbase 2 you will be able to build a variety of food sources: vegetables, algae, insects and vitromeat. Like in Dawn of Man, producing a variety of food will be critical for your colony's survival.
Facilities
The Canteen, Bar, Dorms, Gym and Chill Out Room are some of the facilities colonists will be able to enjoy.
Power Sources
Apart from Solar and Wind we are adding Nuclear, Geothermal and Fusion Power.
Rocket Fuel Production
You will be able to produce Propellant to refuel incoming spaceships. Okay, there is nothing like this in Dawn of Man, this is definitely a new thing.
Familiar Features
Versions of the Tech Tree, Work Area s or Primal Vision are making a comeback. Also, like in Dawn of Man, Resource Limits and Workload Management will be critical tools.
And a lot more
This is just a small part of the features in the game, this will be our most feature rich game yet.
We are borrowing from Planetbase 1, Dawn of Man, and adding many novel ideas as well.
