Change list:

World & Encounters

  • Balancing: Completed a major balancing pass on Fortresses, the Kraken, towers, Legion timers, and general encounter pacing.

  • FaunaUpdated fauna placement following recent creature reworks (Sheep, Puffers, Spikes, Crabs).

  • Skyroad: Shortened the Skyroad approach to improve pacing when returning to the island.

Creatures & Combat

  • Sheep Rework: Sheep now drop a Soul Orb on hit and absorb nearby enemy souls. They will release all stored orbs upon death.

  • Spikes: Now hover and apply an Area of Effect (AoE) stagger to enemies.

  • Crabs: Certain crab types can now be hooked.

  • SkillsThe Roar skill has been updated with new VFX and SFX.

Loot, Chests & Progression

  • Chests OverhaulAdded a new opening animation, faster break times, auto-rotation toward the player, and extended hit range.

  • Shooting Stars: Now have a 30% chance to drop gold.

  • ShopAdded item respawn functionality.

  • Resources: Tuned resource drops for Parts and Rum within the Kraken Hunt.

Codex

  • ExecutionsAdded a new "Executions" category to the Codex, featuring new entries and videos showcasing each execution style.

General Polish & Stability

  • Tweaked enemy behavior for better consistency.

  • Fixed various missing dialogue lines.

  • Implemented numerous small stability and interaction fixes across various encounters.

DAVY x JONES is officially Steam Deck Verified!

This means the game fully supports the Steam Deck’s controller input, native resolution, and default settings for a smooth, out-of-the-box experience.
