Hey everyone! It's been a crazy first 24 hours of a launch, and a really exciting time for us as you all finally get to play the game. I'm watching as the bug reports and suggestions come in, and am already working hard on putting out patches and will be continuing to do so. I want you all to be able to enjoy this experience as issue-free as possible, so we'll be doing our best to get it there.

I'm sorry we didn't do a better job of combing through things. As you might have noticed, we've never done this before. You live and you learn, right? We will have another patch soon with more issues addressed, but here is everything included in this patch:

I really appreciate everyone who is patiently waiting for fixes. There are a lot of issues cropping up that we simply never ran into in development, but having you all report them so diligently is a huge boon. We only have one programmer, so not every change requested may be immediate, but I'm not going to disappear on you or show up in a month with haphazard updates here. I'm going to be right here with you working on patching this thing up until it’s in a better spot. I think, now with your help and suggestions aimed at reducing clunkiness and bugs, I will be able to iron out a lot of issues really quickly.

Fixes:

  • Fixed bug with Alexa's portrait in Chapter 6.

  • Fixed a crash when interacting with chests and rescues in chapter 4.

  • Drifter skill 'outcast' should be working as intended now, but haven't had time to test.

  • Extensive Efforts made to reduce load-requisites that are causing crashes on some systems -- This will be an ongoing process as we continue to patch and optimize the game, so we're unsure what percentage of affected players today's patch will help.

  • Sophia's personal skills are now working as intended.

  • Green Knight skill now refers to the proper ability.

  • Typo in difficulty text fixed.

  • Efforts taken to reduce cursor-originating crashes (most notably when in chapter 16 or with glitched units). This will be an ongoing process as we continue to patch and optimize the game, so we're unsure what percentage of affected players today's patch will help.

  • Soft locks with tabbing through units on controller should now be resolved

Improvements:

  • Added an indicator for double attacks in the combat window.

  • Moved the hover tooltip to permanently reside in one spot to improve visibility.

  • Reduced default music volume

  • Combat window now flips sides to not cover units

  • Added weapon changing with scroll wheel

(update may require a Steam restart to register)

Not as much as I wanted to be able to get done today, but I wanted to get out what little I had time for.

News for updates to come within the next few days:

  • Will be continuing to fix crashes and bugs

  • Will be revamping the tips menu to include significantly increased tutorialization and more information on relevant systems.

  • Planning to rework some controller support issues as feedback comes in for a better overall experience and fewer issues.

  • Will add the ability to see stats as well as aptitudes in the promotion screen (and will try to improve visual clarity of the
