Update 0.2.4

Expanded Map

We've Expanded the map with a new highway zone, park, parking deck, and a few more blocks.

Improved Visuals and Effect

We've reworked the visual stylings to make the colors, reflections and effects really pop.

New Allies

We've added an allied tank and a new CyberThreat soldier in FreePlay.

Improved Performance

  • We've worked hard to further optimize performance across the engine.

Improved Teleportation

Teleportation has been improved. One big improvement is to re-orient it to match the weapon line of sight. This allows you to more easily keep your weapon trained on the enemy as you advance.

Experimental Features

We're testing a few new experimental features that can be enabled from the Options menu:

  • Riding - Turn this on to allow the player to move with items they are standing on. For instance jump on the back of a tank to hitch a ride. It's also fun to stand on top of a light pole and then ride it down as it is destroyed. This is a preview of vehicle support we have coming soon. This may be a bit much for those who are prone to motion sickness so we've made it optional and would like to hear your feedback.

  • Tank Control - Enable this and the Ride option and then hop on the back of a battle tank. Grab the machine gun handle and your hands will turn into tank controls. One hand will control the machine gun and the other will control the main gun. Squeeze the grip and tilt your hand to steer the tank. You can also jump off the the tank and control it remotely after you've taken control. We're still refining these controls but wanted to get your feedback.

  • Hardlight Suit Support - If you have a Hardlight suit from Hardlight VR (http://www.hardlightvr.com/ ) enable this to feel the impacts and explosions. As with the other experimental features, this is a work in progress, so feedback is appreciated.
