Every battle needs a proper battlefield.

When we started working on Cyber Siege, we quickly ran into a problem: how to create levels efficiently.

At first, we tried building everything directly in Unity, but it soon became clear that this approach was unsustainable and way too slow.

In the end, we came up with our own workflow:

  1. First, we design the map in the Tiled editor – it almost looks like an old-school “paper plan.”

  1. Then we bring it into Unity, where it automatically generates a 3D scene.

  1. Finally, we add decorations, lights, and animated objects to make the environment feel alive.

Thanks to this system, our levels aren’t just flat – they include bridges, stairs, and elevated walkways, which means you can expect vertical combat and more interesting environments.

For us, this workflow saves a huge amount of time – and for you as players, it means more diverse maps and greater combat possibilities.

What do you think the ideal level for a co-op shooter should look like? More like an open arena, or a maze of twisting corridors?

Let us know in the comments – your ideas inspire us!
