We want to thank everyone for playing the demo during Steam Next Fest! Your support, feedback, and funny screenshots have been amazing! 💚

To make things easier for new (and returning!) players, we’ve prepared a FAQ answering the most common questions you’ve been asking!

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

💬What is Cut The Grass? ✅Cut The Grass is a unique survival game that mixes peaceful daytime farming with intense nighttime combat. During the day you mow grass, collect resources, and upgrade your base - but when night falls, monsters attack and you must defend your farm to survive!

💬What’s in the Demo? ✅In the demo, you can: -Defend your farm from waves of enemies -Explore and gather resources during the day -Try a few starter weapons and buildings and unlock upgrades -Play solo or co-op with up to 4 players online -Coordinate, share resources, and fight together to survive longer

💬How many maps? ✅The demo features one main map and the tutorial map.

💬What are the controls? (Default Keyboard Layout) 🧭 Movement: WASD 🖱️ Aim / Attack: Mouse (Left click to attack) 🗡️ Switch Weapon / Tool: 1–3 ⛏️ Interact / Collect / Build: E 🏃 Sprint: Shift 🏃 Jump: SPACE 🧍‍♂️DROP weapon: Q 🔄 Reload (if applicable): R ⏸️ Pause / Menu: Esc

💬 Can I play solo? ✅Yes! You can play solo and see how long you can survive. But beware - surviving alone is way harder! Invite your friends and team up for better chances (and more fun)!

💬 How does Co-op work? ✅Up to 4 players can play together online. You can host or join a lobby. Work together to defend the farm, share loot, and coordinate your upgrades. Communication and teamwork are key!

💬What can I build or upgrade? ✅You can use collected resources to: Build defenses like barricades or turrets Sell resources to obtain money Upgrade your character

💬What happens when I lose? ✅When gold piggy bank at the center of farm is destroyed - all players lose! Your total number of days survived will appear in the main menu. That’s the number to use for your contest submission !

💬 Any tips for new players? ✅Don’t waste time during the day - gather as many resources as possible before night falls. Stick together at night - monsters are tougher when you split up. Buy at least one rifle early! Keep moving and watch your surroundings - tall grass can hide both loot and danger.
